IN celebrating the Year of the Tiger, Hotel Alexandra wishes guests a prosperous year by parading out a traditional Chinese delicacy Poon Choi. It is one of the traditional dishes for a time of reunions and celebrations. Hotel Alexandra is offering the Prosperity Poon Choi for takeaway and best shared with two to eight people.
The poon choi includes an array of auspicious ingredients such as braised pork knuckle, abalone, fish maw, dried oysters, goose webs, tiger prawns, pan fried scallops, pouched chicken, roasted pork belly and many more. This is topped off with dried mushrooms, bamboo fungus, bean curd sheets, white radish, lotus roots, bean curd puffs and cabbage—all 16 ingredients in one pot.
The Prosperity Poon Choi collection is categorically available in serving sizes of 2 persons (HK$698), 4 persons (HK$1,398), 6 persons (HK$2,098) or 8 persons (HK$2,798).
